# Coffee in Sudoeste The Sudoeste is a newer residential sector west of the Eixo Monumental. Its coffee sits close together: the Studio Grão flagship, with its roastery, is on the 301 commercial block, Saboretto is a few minutes away on the 300, and Calmaria is on Quadra 3, where you can take a bag of its own coffee home. ## The shops 1. Studio Grão is a roastery first: it supplies cafés around Brazil and, from this shop on 301 Sudoeste, runs a coffee school whose modules go from the basics to extraction methods, water and sensory analysis. The coffees come from different regions, varieties and post-harvest processes, and the shelf names its lots, a Geisha and a Catucaí among them. Ask the bar to brew two lots side by side to compare them, and take a bag of the one you prefer. 2. [Saboretto Cafés Especiais](https://goodcoffeein.com/brasilia/saboretto-cafes-especiais.md) (Sudoeste · Good). Saboretto is a small café on a commercial block in Sudoeste that treats each cup as a lot with a story. Every coffee arrives with a card that names the origin, the producer, the variety, the post-harvest process, the altitude and the tasting notes. For filter the bar uses an Orea V4, a flat-bottom brewer that gives a quick, even extraction. The house bakes its own bread, the caprese toast is a regular order, and on Sundays it opens in the morning for brunch. 3. Filter coffee is brewed to order in a V60 or a French press, in two sizes, next to espresso, macchiato, cappuccinos and an espresso tonic with lemon. The shop also sells its own specialty coffee in 250 g bags, with V60 kits, drippers and French presses, so you can brew the same coffee at home.
