# Coffee in Richmond Richmond's coffee stops are on North Street and near Cremorne. Maker's roastery café and the Zest studio are a few doors apart on North Street, and Vacation runs a café on Adolph Street, a short walk from its Cremorne shop. ## The shops 1. [Vacation Coffee CBD](https://goodcoffeein.com/melbourne/vacation-coffee-cbd.md) (CBD · Must-try). Vacation is a ten-seat café on the corner of Flinders and Exhibition streets, where the Sahely brothers uncovered the windows and restored an eight-metre ceiling. The fit-out is mid-century and eighties pastel: mint-green teak seats and pale-pink steel benches. The team roasts its own coffee and sells it by the cup and by the bag, with single origins on filter and batch brew. It ranked 71st on the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops list in 2025 and 100th in 2026. There are also Vacation cafés in Richmond and Cremorne. 2. [MAKER Richmond](https://goodcoffeein.com/melbourne/maker-richmond.md) (Richmond · Must-try). Stephanie and John Vroom, both coffee industry veterans, do not believe in blends. Their roastery, Maker, serves only single origins, up to five at a time, to show they can be as versatile as any blend. The Richmond café is the roastery's home, with the widest choice of espresso and filter, pastries and cakes, and roasters you can ask about what they are working on. Smaller Maker bars pour the same coffees in the CBD, South Yarra and Prahran. 3. [Zest Coffee Tasting Experience Studio](https://goodcoffeein.com/melbourne/zest-coffee-tasting-experience-studio.md) (Richmond · Good). The Zest Studio in Richmond is the education hub of Zest Specialty Coffee Roasters, open to baristas, café owners and curious coffee drinkers. Book a Sensory Flight to taste your way through different coffee origins, join a training session, or catch one of its industry events, which have included Cup of Excellence cuppings. It is a tasting room, not a café, so check the bookings before you go. ## Sources - - [All coffee shops in Melbourne](https://goodcoffeein.com/melbourne.md) --- [Good Coffee In](https://goodcoffeein.com/) · https://goodcoffeein.com/melbourne/n/richmond
