Privacy policy
Good Coffee In shows coffee shops and lets you save the ones you like. We collect as little as we can.
What we collect
- No account. The app has no sign-in and never asks for your name, email or phone number.
- A random device id. On first launch the app makes a random id. It is not linked to your Apple ID, your name or your phone's hardware. The app keeps it in your iCloud key-value storage, so your other iPhones on the same Apple ID use the same id, and keeps a copy in the Keychain on this phone. If iCloud is off, the id stays on this phone.
- Saved coffee shops. The shops you save, stored on your phone and on our server under that id, so they come back on a new iPhone with the same Apple ID.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps short-lived request logs (such as IP address and time) to run and protect the service.
We do not use advertising, tracking SDKs or analytics, and we do not sell or share your data.
Location
The app does not ask for your location. You choose a city yourself.
Deleting your data
In the app, open Settings and tap Delete my data. This deletes your device id and everything stored under it on our server, and clears the saved shops on your phone, right away. You can also email hello@goodcoffeein.com with the device id shown in Settings.
Coffee shop data
Shop names, addresses, ratings, review counts and photos come from public Google Maps listings.
