Why it's a must-try

Small Batch roasts behind a set of garage doors on a North Melbourne side street. It was started by Andrew Kelly, who first opened Auction Rooms, and the team judges every coffee on three things: it must taste great, have a positive social impact and support sustainable agriculture.

The warehouse café bakes its own pastries and sells local produce next to the beans. Its coffee also turns up across the city, for example as the Candyman house blend at Little Rogue.
