Coffee and pastry in Brasília
For something sweet with the cup: Pató makes a pastel de nata from a family recipe, Dylan bakes slow-fermented sourdough, Cerrado Vivo serves a baru brownie made with the Cerrado's own nut, and both Ernesto houses keep a bakery counter next to the coffee bar.

Pató Cafeteria
Asa NorteMust-try
Pató is a small café and patisserie on the corner of the CLN 407 Norte commercial block. Coplanar Arquitetura designed it in 2021: the canopy is the main seating area and looks over the superquadra's green, and the black-and-white tiles honour Athos Bulcão, who designed the façade of the school next door. The bar serves espresso, a house filter coffee and cold brew drinks such as the Gengibrew, with ginger and lemon. Pair your cup with a pastel de nata made from Vó Therezinha's recipe. The chocolate in the mocha is made in house.

Ernesto Specialty Coffees
Asa Sul+1 locationGood
Ernesto opened on 115 Sul in 2011 and is one of the cafés that started Brasília's specialty scene. Since 2021 it has roasted its own coffee, with master roaster Marcelo Ribeiro checking the beans, the storage and the roast, and in 2024 its coffee was used in the Brazilian Latte Art Championship stage held in the city. Filter comes by V60 or French press, with origins that change with the harvest. The bread comes from its own bakery, and the house is big and busy from early morning to late evening.

Dylan Cafe & Bakery
Asa SulGood
Dylan is a café and sourdough bakery on SCLS 315 Sul, run by Fabrício Campos. The breads rise slowly with natural leaven, including a 100% wholegrain loaf made with stone-ground flour, and the pastrami sandwich on the house baguette has been on the menu since the first day. The coffee side is small: espresso drinks that the shop calls specialty coffee, including a cappuccino with oat milk and pure cocoa. On weekdays it opens in the afternoon, there is brunch on weekend mornings, and on pizza nights you can bring your own wine with no corkage fee.

Cerrado Vivo Café
Lago SulGood
Cerrado Vivo opened in 2025 in Lago Sul, at QI 03 next to the Medical Plaza. Biologist Samara Teixeira started it as a meeting point between people and the Cerrado. You sit on an outdoor deck or in a small indoor room, toucans, macaws and gralhas-cancã often stop by, and there are books about the biome to read. The coffee comes from the Seleções brand, from several Brazilian regions including the Centre-West, served as filter, espresso or cappuccino. Try the baru brownie, made with the region's nut, or a house tea named after Brasília, such as the Céu de Brasília.
