Why it's a must-try

Cuervo began as a café run by two musicians and grew into one of the city's roasters, supplying other cafés too. It has roasted its own coffee since 2021, and this Chacarita branch, on the corner of Jorge Newbery and Guevara, is where the roaster sits in view.

Besides the house blends, its shop sells small lots such as a Bourbon Sidra and a Wush Wush from the Patio Bonito farm, and the bar brews filter as well as espresso. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 8 to 20. The Belgrano café, in an old house on Juramento, also makes its own ice cream, so order the affogato there.
