Why it's a must-try

Project281 fills a former printing warehouse off Albert Street with towering walls of one-tonne concrete drainage pits, each overflowing with plants. There are 97 seats across the ground floor and a mezzanine, around a big coffee bar and kitchen with exposed-aggregate counters and black steel lace chandeliers.

It roasts its coffee on site and serves a Japanese-leaning menu, including a set menu. Come for the room and a coffee from the house roast.
